seems to me that the options for replacement chassis are dwindling, no-one does a series one chassis (although afaik lrsoc has/had some), now marsland don't seem to offer 2 or 3 any more, only richards.

both my s1 and s3 chassis have a few years left in them, so i was thinking long term, would a series 3 body drop onto a 90 chassis? i know the 90 is coil sprung etc, just wondered if the body would fit on if that was all one could get.

Anything is possible, but you'd have to register it with the 90 id or, if you cut the chassis, get it inspected and Q plated.

i guess then the historic vehicle status would be lost, might be best to get a galv chassis while they are available and stick it in the garage against the wall

I'm sure Richards sell plenty of Series chassis though. If they are the only suppliers now they must surely benefit from increased sales

I picked up an S2 LWB chassis from Richards earlier this week - they told me they had about 100 orders on the books, so I'm sure they will still be making Series chassis for the foreseeable future :)

lets hope so, maybe it is just that the market isn't big enough for more than one player, or that marslands have enough work from defender chasssis that they don't need to offer series products.
