im actually looking for a more rare one than this

anyone remember the national breakdown service badges

These and the RAC badges were issued to members of the public who joined and would be displayed on the members private cars. I have a few, anyone want to see a photo?

Bloody battery on my camera is flat, give it 15 mins or so and I will post one up. I have an RAC badge my Dad got in the 1960's and it lights up. I also have a solid metal enameled RAC badge and a flat stainless steel AA badge, along with the more common styles. They can be bought from £5 to £10 at car rallies or ebay.

I have my dad's. I've put it on the radiator grille along with the later square one. I was really chuffed when he gave them to me to put on the Landy

The metal shield style one on the right is a Malaysian club badge.

Probably entitled the member to be recovered and taken to a garage or home address as an upgrade, hence "relay".
