got my first car couple months back, a series 3 88" with a petrol rover engine, seems all genuine and not much wrong with it, my plan for the future is to get it running and on the road for next year and us eit a little bit as my first car. so far i have removed the roof (safari roof, was very heavy) then the tub(i managed on my own with the telehandler). ive used flap disks on the chassis and i am going to use some rust preventer and then paint with hammerite and then coat with wax oil, i have some welding to do to the rear of the chassis first though. The truck is green but i think its been blue and the interior is blue but some one has painted with the wrong shade of blue in foot wells and doors no idea why. We found her on Ebay from Bakewell and it was an interesting drive up a long narrow bendy road with a pick up truck and flatbed 16 foot trailer. we got it home safely though. the truck runs and drives perfectly as it should, but when its warm and you turn the ignition off sometimes try starting its self, assuming its just wiring thats all corroded at the joints. i will also be doing the leaf springs at the rear and gonna do the shockers at the same time(might as well will look alo better to), also going to buy some galv plates for under front mud arches as there completely rotten, the bulkhead is perfect and i have no intentions of removing it as it is took much hassle for nothing removing teh wiring, after the rear is complete and the interior is done i will move to the front, removing the front fenders and grill then doing same to the chassis on the front, most likly leave engine in though as i will just get what i can with the grinder and paint brush
