Hi all
I've been trying to ID a set of wheel that came with my Land Rover series 3.
They have only got the following stamped on them., nagbol 5.50fx16. 11/73
They are defo 5.5 inch but not any of the normal lwb wheels. Of which I have a few.
They seem to have a larger off/inset?
I will try include a few picture

There's something odd about the steel pattern. It looks landy but not quite somehow. I'll look up the manual and parts list. See you have good old Track Edges; a great all round tyre no longer made.

Nagbol was a Danish wheel making company, so my bet is that they supplied the Danish builders of Land Rover CKD kits.

I'm pretty certain that's a wheel from a (very old) Sankey trailer! I had one of those on my Series III when I first bought it, too. Just did a bit of Googling and Nagbol were bought by GKN Sankey in 1973 apparently, but with a flat centre flange like that the wheel is likely to be much older. Perhaps some trailer expert person can come along and enlighten you properly...

Yeah trac edge are great. Walls are split now so looking at mud terrain bfg.
Any idea if the 235/85/16 will be ok on standard lwb 33 offsetwheels?
I no tech you shouldn't but lots seem to.
The rims in picture came with the Landrover, so I may just get them shot blast/ powered coated and use them, as they seem to have little or minus offset so the wheels stick out more.
Which personally I prefer
Would be good to get a definite Id as I could do with one more, if I end up keeping them.

would the 11/73 on it indicate Nov 1973?
Or may just be a part reference ?

Hi
This came up on google from a " sankey wheels Land Rover " image search. Looks the same?

It's looking quite likely that the Danish connection is there. Sankey became part of GKN, which then took Nagbol over in 1973.

Yes they should fit OK. Same size as 750 x 16. Can't understand why BF stopped making them. Mine were perished at the edges and unsafe but they lasted 19 years!
