hi new to forum so just getting started I am doing a full restoration on a swb series 3 just come to put rear axle supports straps on only to find they are different sizes does any body know shortest too ? and longest too ? many thanks mark

The one I got from rocky mountain you had to adjust on fit...so far they've not been adjusted or fitted...

Why bother fitting them ???

They are a left over from times of no internal limit stops in the dampers .....not needed these days AND more of a hindrance than a help (they werent continued to be fitted to Mili versions for no reason) Your average Squaddie ran out of traction long before they got the vehicle stuck and required REME intervention ;-)

As stated a bit superfluous but if you want authenticity they will look the part. Always amused that leather is expected to withstand all the crud under there.

Didn't have them...
Don't have them since my series 3 restoration
No point!
Have them on my MGBGT as they were fitted before its restoration
Just for authenticity
