Hello All

I was wondering if anyone is able to please supply me the part number for the in line fuel filter that is within the engine bay for a 1971 2.25 Series 3, as mine is leaking something bad.

Thank you

Nigel

Where is it leaking from diesel filters usually have a valve on base to drain the water out , is this tight?

Sorry it's a petrol version, it's leaking around the inline fuel filter as the small pipes are rotten and need replacing as was going to change the small filter at the same time

Just get one from any car part store - it's not a Land Rover part! They should sell the pipe and clips to match. The "standard" fuel filter is a piece of gauze just above the sedimenter bowl in the fuel pump.

That's great, didn't think of ebay.

Found this one to, though bit more pricey but looks identical to what is already there.

Only just sorting out my first Series Land Rover to see if I can get it going (its my Dads old one), if am willing to repair and get the work done, he is letting me have it but I think it will need about £1500 spending on it.

Its got a drive fault at the moment to, which I posted about a while back. Suggestions says could be the handbrake/prop shaft or rear axle.

Once the fuel leak is sorted around the filter as well as the clutch, I will investigate further. Just need to try and get it a garage to find out what the problem is with the drive and get a complete MOT failure list, then I can go from there to see if it is worth taking on.

The top of the bulkhead is rotten to, have seem panels from YRM, they also do a complete top section but without the vents :(
