its complicated to explain english law to septics.
but basically legally that motor does not exist so therefore in the case of an accident your fooked big style

no just some okd **** in a wig full of stern words and bull****

much easier to just swap plates thou just need a screwdriver:eek:
that happens people are allways asking me for log books, but still have done a lot of genuine builds using all kinds of parts easy with a vehicle were doors fit from series 2 to defender

:doh::doh::doh::doh:just realised the reg number is the other way round stoopid bastid

just one more thing ive noticed wheres the fekkin id tag gone off the bulkhead (chassis number)

suffix B is '64

But yeah....everything visible is series 3.

Apart from the later 5 bearing crank I'm not aware of any differences between 2 and 3 engines......this has been mentioned a few times tonight on different threads...

Am I missing something?

i wouldnt its tedious ,but fair to say its either well after 72 and so no plate change ,or had a lot of alterations as some did ,without really seeing it who can say

The only thing tax exempt about that is the number plate. It's definitely a later series 3. Ding a ling a ling.

Ive dropped the guy a message, he may wish to come on to the blog and explain. Chances are he bought it like this.

the id plate is not always on the bulkhead, some times its on the front panel just above the horn, so would not be visible in the pic??
