just put the ebay link up:rolleyes:

an it looks rite under the bonnet forra series 3
think you should be askin how the fook is this series 3 a series 2

Noi more pics but it doesn't look like our series 3 engine! Hubby justy reminded me that our supposed series 3 engine is actually series 2a!

are you sure thats not just a type error as the reg is 1984 not 1964 and that was the year they stopped production on series 3 and moved onto the deffender 90

the engine appears to be a standard 5 bearing 2.25 petrol with a solex carb replacement and a servo upgrade on the brake master cylinder wich is quite a common upgrade/modification to series 3 landys

its on leafsprings and has nice straight pannelwork on it

the only thing that throws me is the reverse lights as im currently scratching me fodd to find a way of fitting a switch onto my gearbox for one

the fopglight is also a common thing i believe was nessecary and mandetory for any vehicle to haveone as standard from 1981 onwards

if your thinkin of buying it do so as this is about as genuinew and unmolested as they get

it could have been 64 (very good year that )but if was has later series 3 bulkhead ,wings ,bonnet ,braking system ,etc

but after saying that i have built a lot of tucks with a mix of later stuff including defender ,but not normally on series 2s they are normally kept std ish

can someone tell me please how the hell this is a tax exempt motor when its clearly a 1984 b reg how the hell has this been done is it technicaly possible :rolleyes:
