Hi, I'm new to this forum lark!
Trying to change a sheared gearstick on a series 3 pickup. Have exposed the assembly. Any tips on getting the 2 front bolts out? Seems 11mm spanner too small, 12mm too big. 3/8th and 7/16th don't fit. Can't get an adjustable in there..... any ideas? Cheers. Dave

Even on Series 3, fasteners on the gearbox and transfer box tend to be old British threads, so, 3/16" W

Often a 7/16 AF wil fit a 3/16 Whit with a bit of jiggling. Its 0.445 and 7/16 is 0.438 so get your most worn 7/16.

Thanks. An 11mm and a hammer did the trick. Assembly is now out. Broke circlip pliers getting the clip / spring out, but remains of gearstick now out and awaiting delivery of new one!
