anyone offer an opinion on whether its worth rebuilding a series 3 petrol gearbox and transferbox as both ahave gone or just get a new one and does anyone know where i could poss lay my hands on one

They are always popping up but you never know what the condition of it will be.
Never rebuilt a gb but looking at the parts they are quite reasonably priced.

Hi,

Try Keith Gotts, they've just fitted a new series box into my S111, i think they have another new one in stock, cost @ £1K, but as you probably know it comes with both transfer boxes as well.

Try these mate, they will have everything you need to rebuild the box or supply a complete one, did my S111 box and cost £30 for all the bits

pick up a cheapie off ebay and use it to practice on, before having a go proper
