Hi,

Have just bought my first landy! (pics to come soon). Have had a good look round, and it is in need of restoration. I have managed to find every other part needed for her, apart from the dash board, which is currently shot. Does anyone know where I can get one (w/out the instrument panel)

If you find a decent one let me know. Im covering mine currently, its been done before and looked alright, until somebody covered it in paint. (not me!)
 
Yes, I still want it - I was going to PM you this week 'cos I'm on holiday in Cornwall next week and I might be able to pick it up on the way back if it's not too much of a diversion. I suspect it's the upper panel he needs, though.
 
There were a few complete ones at Peterborough... Mines cracked around the windscreen wiper switch so was going to replace it, but have opted for a sheet of metal with some holes cut in it instead.
 
I am also looking for dash board parts. Someone advised me to get 1988 model ( Defender??) dash board parts as a replacement. Will it work ? I need an advise.
 
Has anyone ever tried making their own instrument housing? I m desperate for a dash as like most people, sweet lady time has cracked itover the last 38 years?
 
i have a spare top dash (as my new one came with one) if interested pm me and i will send pics and start the auction of.... i am in wakefield west yorkshire....
