I have some pics of the footwell which I am replacing. All parts are from YRM and are excellent quality.
The only criticism is the the flange on the top corner repair could have been 10 mm deeper. But I welded a bit on so no problems.
The main footwell part was a good fit. I ground off about 2 mm in width at the very bottom right corner and it was nice and snug. Unfortunately the top mounting holes did not line up. So I will have to drill them out to suit what I have.I have a pic of that.
I am going to ask for advice regarding the welding of the footwell. Plug or seam or both?
Any views on that?
Also i had to chop off a rotton part of the inner footwell and need to make a repair there So any advice regarding that repair will be welcome. because that is my next job,
Cheers Peter.

Hi Steve,
I think seeing how others tackle the job is very helpful .either on this site or you tube.
I dont have as much tin worm as you which makes it an easier job. After finishing all the repair work I intend getting it sandblasted along with the radiator panel plus a few other parts. Returned to me for final inspection before galvanising. Well that is the plan anyway.
I am currently making a new stiffener for the floor panel, more holes to drill/ punch out and plug weld.

Peter

is this a landyzone error?

You can buy bulkhead ends from various places. Installing requires a good fabricator. If you’ve got that level of corrosion how are the footwells? If you have corrosion above the level of the pedals that’s bad , very bad.
