rear door,

:eek::eek:where did you get the vynl and how much was it youve given me a hell of an idea for mine :cool::cool:

if you dont mind someone else doing something similar;);)

Those door cards are tozzin, the whole Landies looking ace :)

So what percentage of the members of the forum are going to understand what the word "tozzin" means do you suppose? ;)

I imagine some of them from the south west will think you don't like his door cards:)

Perhaps we should do a poll?

Dunelm mill sell all sorts of vinyl off the roll, by the metre. Different colours, patterns etc. Loads to choose from and not expensive.

Just got the vinyl from a local upholsterer, think I got enough for 3 doors plus a bit over for about €15

Nice transformation. The only things that stand out are that the rear lights are upside down (indicator goes above stop/tail) and 88"s never had black headlamp surrounds, only 109" V8s. Looks a quality job otherwise, well done.

Good tip, thanks.
So the surrounds should be blue? Will do that next time I get the paint out!

Yes, they were body colour until 1982 at which point they became silver grey on 4-cylinder models. There were no six cylinders anymore by this time, just four or eight. I'm not sure what year your vehicle is as I can't tell from the reg plate. The Defender style mirrors also came in in 1982 but I think only for county station wagons.

Its Dec '71 built and red in '72.
The Defender mirrors are what came on it and suffice for now.
What ones should I look for?

do you mean they could've misconstrued my positive remark as being derogotary in some way, bugger dint think o that;)

tozzin = splendid :)

i had those on a 2a I had, they are horrible to use! Think I'll stick to what I've got!:D

Door mounts were an option I think, but with a metal arm and clamp with a rounded lens with rubber edge.
I have wing mirrors on my IIA and they are fine.
