Getting to it at last!!
Will be using Vapormatic paint in landrover colours, blue and ivory.
Similar to Tractol or other agri paints. Cos its cheap, durable and easy to use and has a pretty good finish.
Will be spraying with a DeVilbiss FLG5 1.4 tip.
Here is what I`m up against;
As it stands, "original Landrover grey", in 1972???
Some great repairs by a previous owner, plate riveted to the underside of the bonnet and holes filled with silicone and painted over!
Dont think there was originally a bonnet mount there!
Ever seen anything like this?
Rear panel filled flush with corner post! And sticker painted AROUND!
"Nice" wing top repair. It will stay there till I get some to replace them.
Painted the door handles too!
The dash is actually nicer than it looks, I stripped it all out, painted etc. Walnut insert too!
Doors will be removed, striped and sprayed on the flat, will prob take off wings too.
Will post more as I take them.
Comments and advice welcome.
