Hi,
We've had this Land Rover for around 15 years and it was always a good runner however it has remained un-started for around 6 years now and the clutch no longer depresses and the brake doesn't work.
I was really wondering if anyone could tell me much about this vehicle such as its rarity, I haven't come across very many like this at all. Its a series 2a Station Wagon (short wheelbase) and has a safari roof, unfortunately whilst being stored in a barn a bale fell on the roof and has bent some of the paneling. The vehicle also had a new half chassis fitted 15 years ago (done professionally). The fuel tank has a small hole. Overall a majority of the vehicle is solid, it comes with a spare wheel and rig to allow it to be attached across the back door.
There is some flaking of the paint which reveals a yellow coat of paint on some of the panels, is this a primer coating?
I welcome any offers for the vehicle, baring in mind the numberplate '631 KX' was valued at £1100 a while back.
Heres the link to the photos of the Land Rover on flickr
1st image in photostream (shows a hole under front passenger side window) I've tried to post pictures of any damage that I've come across although there are very few rust marks or holes on the paneling:
