Don't do it.... put it onto a galv leaf spring chassis.
Keep things original as some of the bodywork won't fit on a 90 chassis.
Looks a good motor

Funny, I read that as the OP was looking to swap his 2a for a defender.

At least he is not trying to sell it..LOL

Cheers

@Ian tyler

You keep posting in the wrong place mate.

Try the Series forum or Gen Landy forum. This one so fro a project you might be building.

Cheers

Ha ha so sorry i was looking at swapping the s2 that has a galvanised chassis for a defensive of some sort ! I’ve realised that its just not practical enough with the kids !! And posted it in the wrong place ! New to this site and a bit confused!!!!

You are joking? Right?

Nothing is ever practical with kids, not even when they've grown up and left home.

Enjoy the Series and adapt it as best you can.

Have to add, I went from a long wheel base petrol series to a 110 and sold it within a week as it was absolutely no better than the series I already had and if anything it was just slow and noisy. Worst case is that you end up buying something affordable that just ends up being an endless money pit, can't believe the silly prices for old tat but you can get a good tidy Discovery for 1/4 of the money, maybe that would be better and more practical for kids?
