Hi all, Just wondered if anyone could tell me wether there is supposed to be a gasket between the oil feeder pipe, (the one with the oil breather on). amd the engine block itself as i have an oil leak originating there Also just wondered if anyone could clear this one up for me, Does a 1966 series 2a have to take an emmissions test when it takes the annual MOT test, if so what does this include (Also, Why the has my enter key on the key board stopped working) thanks Mark

cant remember exactly, but fairly sure there is no gasket there.

re the KB. its probably shot. ive got a new one here for sale. a quid to you plus PP.

if there is not a gasket there what damage would it do putting a gasket there
and if it comes to it, how much would pp be

ok well ill try fitting a gasket first i think that should do the trick, then theres the rest of the landrover to get on with

With regards to the emissions question, I am certain for a landy of that age its just a visual check to make sure its not running to rich or burning gallons of oil....

If its petrol just a visual, checking for Blue or Black smoke, Diesel requires a smoke test. Barry
