I know this sounds pathetic and to you experienced Landy owners I apologise in advance.

I took the old hinges off and then having already purchased the replacement pins I stripped the old and cleaned them up....yes now i know i should have kept them in pairs but now I have tried to pair them up and rebuild.
Only two of the four pairs will accept the spring the other two will not compress the spring enough to get the nut on.

Please help, have I mismatched pairs? or is there a easy way to ensure the pairs are correct ? Do the ones with springs fitted go to the bottom of the door? how tight should the nut be?.....Save me!

2a have got sticky out hinges you got them off the door? you got the ball in the middle spring goes up from the bottem ,you got one short arm hinge and one long arm hinge you cant go wrong just match them together?

the ones with the spring go onto the bulkhead, just do the nut up so the door swings freely but not sloppy on the hing and knock the tab onto nut ok

thanks for that...these hinges came off the door but it appears that two of them don't allow for the spring...could they have been taken from elsewhere?
should both top and bottom hinge have the spring ? I must be really thick ,sorry
