Hey everyone!
Its Carl here, i posted this thread ages ago!

I wanted to fit a 200tdi in my series 2a.

I do quite like the look of the front end and it would be a shame to change it.

Classic lannys are exactly that.

Series 2a

• Leaf Springs
• Unpowerful but strong engines
• No syncro in 1st + 2nd
• Basic electrics
• Poor heaters
• "Unwaterproof" roofs

They are what they are!

But the biggest carrot of all is the tax exempt classification.

..... Which I like, alot!

So the best idea is to buy a "modified 90/2a"

Dunno, it was on it when I got it from the Father-in-law. I'm still torn between restoring it or not - it has to be said, that longer bonnet and front-end is pretty meaty looking. I might keep it like that, it's kinda unique and that's part of the appeal of Landys.

Its a tidy old thing!
Very nice inside.

.... apart from the steering wheel!

I could do with a roof lining for mine.

Is it standard engine and box?
