Hi Guys,

Landy is booked in for a "bag change" on Thursday but before the inevitable outpouring of cash, I just want to check something with ya's.

Suspension raises and falls OK. With ignition off, as I load up the boot, the car drops until it's sat on the stops. When I start up the engine, car re-levels OK. In normal parked conditions (level ground) car stays at the ride height minus the small drop it makes after turning off ignition. However, if I park on a slope the car drops onto its stops. Weird.

So ..... is it airbags or some other component ? It's going to an independent landy mech so he'll check it over too. Just valued your opinion.

Would do it myself (especially after the positive posts on here) but up against a busy work schedule and a camping holiday starting Friday !!

Ta for your help

Sounds like air bags to me, Weird (intermitent) things can happen. But it's an easy job to check with a spray of soapy water. and if they are 5 years old change them anyway cos they will fail soon.

Sounds like you have an air bags problem but I would get the ride height sensors checked/replaced at the same time.

Does your LR specialist have the right electronic equipment to do this work for you?
