Hi all.
Thought id do a thead on my series 2 restoration,
Its a 1961 series 2. In need of total restro, it was used in a air soft field for a number of years, so theres no glass left, all the insides have been shot at, engine dosnt ect,
Im not sure how good the chassis is so far i know its had lots of welding done in the past and has several holes in it now - looks like i will be buying a new one or a good second hand one. The bulkhead is also gone - dont think its repairable so will get replaced if i can find a good one!
heres how i bought it.
Finally got it in the shed and have started the strip down. its proving to be a nightmare, most of the bolts are sized and snap, the sizes are all over the place half are metric half are AF, some bits fall off other bits are putting up a real fight.
Getting the seats out proved awkard to, they where welded to the old runners and next to impossiable to get the grinder in to cut the welds
Will update as and when i do stuff!
