Parked up for winter(wasnt running nice last year) now wont start just backfires a lot. Tried new coil, plugs points, cap, arm,condenser,added earth from battery to dizzy body, moved dizzy around slightly. Turns over but just wont fire.

sounds like fuel. try overhauling the carb.

Try draining the carb, I don’t know why but it goes off and goes slightly yellow.

Yer, probly the best bet- new fuel an clean plugs n points + a jump-starte battrey

Modern fuel is rubbish

Fit a new distributor (or clean and check) it sounds like your timing advance weights are sticking or screwed.
Also check that your vacuum advance works.

Static time it and then turn over for a bit and check it again.

mine had the same problem, i stirpped the carb put a diaphram kit on still splutterd then put new points, on it runs fine now if that is any help

have you been using lead additive ?
