2015 then.
When fitted do the One Wheel Up Test OWUT with a 1.2m bar and 8kg to see how it performs. You'll need to turn it one full revolution to mix round the fluid as it's new and been sitting a while. You can do this by performing the test 3 times once fitted, then time it on the 4th test.

I only bought this as was extremely cheap and if I was honest I expected a old one with a rattle can refurbishment paint job to turn up in a box
I have my original vcu also good working order and one I bought this year that came with full prop all bearing and joints in outstanding condition that’s on my Freelander now
So I am thinking of getting new GKN bearings and front back prop parts when I see them on offer and making a new complete shaft so probably not this year

2004 TD4 HSE.

GKN-V-405520 03 794

Stamped around the outside.

... ten years later on this post noticed I have a similar number of 2004 TD4: GKN V 405520 03 754. Freelander still strong, but looking for a new VCU.
