Hello
I have a 95 300tdi and whilst changing the oil in the transfer box noticed
a cable disconected ,it was hanging next to what looks like a sensor on top of the transfer box.The car has been running fine and is also ok since I reconnected it . Could someone tell me what its for please ?

Road speed sensor (transducer) drives your dash speedometer.

Hi Dean, it could be the difflock light switch. Do you use your difflock often and does it light up?

My speedo has been working ok , I dont use the diff lock very often and cannot say if it ever shows on the dash. I have just tested the diff lock and light does show,going up to yorkshire tomorrow from the midlands and was a bit worried as I havnt had been far in it yet,

you may need to practice your yorkshire accent in case you encounter a border patrol
