i've seen that before.. why would you bother!? ooh look.. i used to have this nice car.. now i've got a ford escort :/

That reminds me they used to loan a car to a local cricketer (huge bowler who happened to be black) with relevent plate, saw it about a year later with white bloke in suit driving it, if I had a mobile may have called the Police.

Garage had been forcible closed (not in debt) and car sold on.

Next was plate on an escrap

I worked at Evans Halshaw LR when the P38 was launched. First one they sold at the launch party had the plate A 40 HSE as it was a 4.0 litre.

So anyone got experience selling a plate using one of these dealers?
Yep. If I remember correctly they just listed mine on their website and contacted me when they got a buyer. If it's a good number they sometimes buy it off you but I suspect not for your plate.

Some of the reg's go for stupid money, my two initials followed by the number 1, was once for sale for £60k,
four numbers followed by my initials could be had for a couple of hundred but, I can't be arsed.

Hassle. I'm being lazy and kicking it thru one of those sites, paying for the convenience
I bought 2 of ours from eBay, it was very easy.
The one on the Disco came with it, I think it's a 50's or very early 60's plate.
Put yours on a retention certificate and get it on an auction site

You've literally just quoted me saying I don't want to do that 😅

I can't be arsed to deal with dvla, pay them 80quid to retain and then deal with half baked tupenny hapenny prìcks on ebay trying to buy it for 250 quid when I could possibly get 300-350 and have the dealer sort everything else inc replacement plate, if that's what others experience is

It's so simple doing it on line, I've done a few over the last few years, two for family in last six months and all went very smoothly
