Good morning, i have a very poorly 1958 diesel L/R on my farm in Spain. Apparently it was running but was left parked with veg oil in it. Now completely gundged up. I am stripping out the whole fuel system to hopefully clean it out. The injectors were very grim and i assume the injector pump is too. It now seems the engine is seized aswell after standing for 5 or 6 years. Once i get the head off what would be the best next step, drip diesel into the cylinders, tap it with wood etc ? I've never had to deal with a seized engine before. Thanks for any ideas.

Yes, I would advise putting some.diesel into each pot and leaving it to soak past the.pistons for a few days. Make sure you cover the cylinders if the vehicle is being left outside. After the diesel has soaked through, try turning the engi e.with the sarting handle or a.suitable socket and bar on the crank pully nut. I wouldnt tap the pistons unless you undo the conrods from the crank.

Left in 2018. Itv man was my neighbour in same village, used to give him the stang to drive to the station. No dramas at all. In fact had more trouble with the mot bollocks here when i was registering them after we came back

How did you matriculate in the first place...so never passed acually passed an ITV then...

Wrong. The stang was already on spanish plates, bought it in Pamplona. Was already matriculated with a Cobra 5.0 block instead of the standard sn95 5.0 and a Cobra front end and Rousch bodykit. No problem with any of the itv’s ever.

you wouldn't though if the tester took it for the "test" we had the same here until they now every now and then set up a team stopping suspect vehicles leaving and sending them through again with a senior inspector overseeing and checking the video footage and machine recordings...
