No, my engine was a 3.9 in my disco, and with a manual box.

Going to swop to megasquirt as well, so from what I've read I won't necessarily need a GEMS compatible flywheel as the crank sensing is done from the front pully using the toothed gear.

Johnnie - Why are you mucking about with all this nonsense?

Put the 4.6 in with your existing front end and efi sytem.

You just need a long-nose cam, timing gear and a crank spacer.

£165 for a viper hurricane from real steel and 150 quid for the spacer, lifters, timing gear and gaskets.

Job done.

If your ZF 4HP24EH is the early type with the large torque convertor I have a home for that as long as it comes qith flywheel, boss, flexplate etc.

What nonsense?

The Megasquirt ECU allows you to run two different maps for fuel and ignition, which seeing as I use LPG will benefit the running of the car.

The cost of buying the cam etc. is not far of the cost of a MS ecu.

I would rather ditch the distributor, use the GEMS coil packs and have selectable mapping based on my fuel type.

I can use my 3.9 flywheel if I need too, I just have to fit a trigger wheel and sensor on the front pulley for the engine rotation.

If the bits you want are available I'll drop you a pm, don't want to promise anything until I've seen the car

Been looking at ms2. Was going to keep the plenum off my 3.9 and have stepper idle control. Can't do that with the ms1
