Today I tried to drain my diesel sedimenter on my ex mod 2.5na it's just behind the rear wheel when I undone the plastic bung nothing came out just heard a bubbling noise. I thought diesel should of ran out but nothing came out at all is this a problem or is this how it should be ?

look on top of sedimenter, you will find the head of a bolt(11mm spanner iirc) undo this bolt and the bottom half of the sedimenter will drop down. clean it out and refit with a new o ring seal if necessary. you might not get the bung back in, mine snapped, so i used a nut and bolt to blank off the hole.

I replaced my seals on Sunday, cos the plug had snapped off, I had to drill and tap the hole to fit a new plug, when I put it all back together, I bleed the whole system it takes a while of hand cranking the lift pump, you can also jog the starter in 3 second bursts to start the priming process.

Bleed it through with a hand bulb pump or a 12v Whale type pump
