What is a good Security Device i could get for my Landy Series 3?

Gear Stick Lock?
Steering Wheel Lock?
Chaining the Chassis to a Hoop Cemented in ground?


Your Idea's....?
 
A series doesnt tend to be first on a thiefs list, they are not as valuable as other vehicles and there isnt a major demand for nicked bits, so a theft attempt would most likely be a druggie or some joker looking for a ride home or planning a ram raid, a visual deterant would be good here.
A ridiculously oversized chain round the steering wheel is a good trick, it makes a statement to any yoyo thinking of nicking it.
A hidden immobilser switch is also a good idea.
 
Rig up a second ignition coil and connect the ht to the steering colum
When somebody trys to start it they get a he'll of a belt just don't forget to flip an isolater switch when u stat it
 
Paint it fluorescent pink, nobody will nick it! If it's a petrol and you don't mind getting your hands grubby just take out the rotor arm. A hidden switch in the coil circuit would work, too.
 
Thanks for the advice. I live in Scotland so the houses are so far apart in the country security is scarce, people have had their Generators Nicked from down the road and horse boxes and all sorts of stuff, so i just want to make sure im safe with my newly restored Landy :))

When the Diesel pump fuel cut out return spring failed on mine recently it made its own imobliser so if you are running a diesel I think its not beyond the realms of possibility that you could build in a two way system with cut out and then cut in cable system that would be beyond the comprehension of most 'scrotes' who might want to take the vehicle as it would need bonnet up etc to sort it.
 
I left my 2a with no roof on and no door locks in a number of car parks and never had any problems... again the 50p look works well for it and i put a chain round the steering wheel to the seat handles (disco seats) just to stop any kids jumping in and rolling it about.

There are many simple things to do the leavers has already been mentioned though, removing one key bit of equipment say between coil and dizzy, etc. all help add a layar of confusion to someone trying to nick it.
 
I use an anderson connection from the battery it looks like its used for jump starting and cost nothing as i got it from work, we use them to connect unit to trailers for the tail lifts this was a damage one I adapted see pics

Hmm... would love to see the hair of the guy's face who this would happened to. I may put sign saying keys in ignition. "Plz nick me" haha
 
There's a good few Series gone from round here...to say they're not nickable is cobblers. I know of at least one garage where they coppers found dozens in the process of being dismembered for parts

One thing coppers told me is when parking on our dead end street is to park facing in....they're such a c**t to turn round or reverse out the thieves don't bother. Other than that I've got a crook lock but not much else.

What pedal locks do people recommend. I would be so ****ed off if mine got nicked.
