A proper disk on the wheel , will stop the supermarket thieves, it's obvious so they'll choose something that won't attract attention.
Long term when you aren't there, is a different problem. If they really want it they'll just hi ab it or tow it away. All you can do is make it more difficult, hidden ignition/ fuel stops, battery cut offs, pedal locks all help. Hiding the landy is the best solution, mines in the back garden. Unless you are one of the 2 neighbours you wouldn't know it's there.

I just take the steering wheel off and take it indoors (much to my wifes annoyance) it only takes a.minute. To take the wheel off, my wife can get annoyed in a second.

Fit a home made alarm. Anything off the shelf is sussed within weeks of being released but with a bit of thought you can make very simple alarm systems with their own self charging back up batteries for very little money. I recently went PIR so if so much as a hand goes inside the whole thing blasts away. With that and something that has to be removed from inside your safe from casual scrotes. A tumble switch would help with lifting onto a low loader.
