3 of us spent 3 hours not fitting a station wagon second row door lock. the door fits the opening but the re is no space for the keep- what am i doing wrong?
we resorted to a sledge hammer and shaped drifts- the ironmongery came off old doors - new doors won't work- what are we missing?

Well I have to say I've no idea how to do it but it sounds like you doing it wrong !
Should never be that difficult.
If there are no pearls of wisdom forthcoming you could try the Series 2 Forum. Later Series 2A doors are very similar.

A quick google look at 109 hinges - the fronts 'look' a little longer than the second row? May be a illusion but it's very good explanation!
