today I noticed another button on my speedo the one on the right resets the trip but does anybody know what the one on the left does?

I've been wondering what that was since I picked the car up 3 months ago. I'll check first thing in the morning. At least it gives me something exciting to do before I go to work.....

I think it's used in markets that have an outside temperature display. Sadly in the UK, we didn't get that! :(

I think Nodge68 could well be right just been in mine ,2003 facelift and it doesn;t seem to do anything and can;t see anything in the handbook about it .

This is what the temperature display dash looks like.

It toggles between degrees F and degrees C on cars with an outside temperature display, North American market only.

does anyone know what parts are needed to make the temp display work?? is it just a temp sensor i assume?

I'm looking into this at the moment. I suspect that there would be an ambient temperature sensor needed and a change of software on the dash ECU (Ipack ECU)
I've looked at my copy of the electrical manual, but can't find a reference to the sensor or Ipack software. Investigation into this will continue.

mmm ill see what I've got i think I've got all the us electrical diagrams as well so should be there ill post up if i find anything

heres the 2 PDFs mentioned in the post @Nodge68
