Hey guys had a quick search but nothing.. Would seats out of a td5 fit a 200tdi both 90s. I'm sure I heard someone say they are different as I don't have a td5 to measure I'm relying on someone having done it before

Hi, I fitted Puma seats into my '87 90 without any problems as replacements for some TD5 seats that had broken, I think all I had to do was drill out the mounting points in the seat box to 8mm and put thick spacer washers between the seatbox and runner, you have to do this to allow room for the travel mechanism to work. There is a benefit in fitting the later seats along with their runners as they are stronger and don't flex and break. regards Phil

As above, I've also fitted tdci seats to a 200tdi.
Also fitted td5 seats in a 300tdi.
I've also gone the other way and fitted early seats to a late seatbox, So all the same.
