My back seats will not unlock from the floor, the seatbacks will come down but from there, i should be able to pull straps on the base of the seat in order to roll the seats forward if i'm correct?

N.B. this is the second row of regular seats, NOT the two flapdowns in the boot.

I got rage and managed to pull the straps straight off the metal pull tab, that's not a problem though as it's just copper rivets which can be re-done once i've fixed the mechanism

It's been this way for months and after countless attacks with WD40/ACF50 it still seems locked dead, the problem is i can't get to the mechanism to work at it!

Any ideas would be great cheers.

This still hasn't been resolved as (much as there should be) there is no part in the manual about decades of rust and the seats having never been rolled forwards!
