When I bought my 90, the guy who had it before me had bolted some ford fiesta seats onto plates with no runners, then screwed the plates to the seatbox with about 50 8mm bolts. I wanted original LR seats in my truck so I bought some vinyl seats from a 90 yesterday. I have removed the plates and seats from the seatbox and found out that my new seats wont fit. The new seat runners have two large bolt holes each side, but they dont line up with the original holes that are under the plates. In fact, there only seems to be the front holes on te seat box, no back ones. Anyone got an idea of whats going on? I was under the impression that all defender seats where interchangeable (apart from tdci models).

Here are some pictures to show what I mean.

Yeah looks like im gunna have to drill new ones. Just thought it was strange that there was no holes at all at the back, and even the front holes dont fit the front holes pf the seats. Anyone know if the ex mod seatbox would be different to a civvy one?

I recently replaced my ex-mod seats with normal defender ones. There were 4 holes per seat and they lined up exactly. Don't know what's going on with your seatbox!
