 evening all - just joined, and looking for advice. I'm looking to buy a defender 90, county, but I have one toddler, a baby on the way.......oh yeah, and a wife. Can anyone tell me about seating options, ie how can I / is it legal to, put booster seats / car seats on the rear inward facing seats, or what are the other options? Appreciate any advice.

Hi and welcome, don't know the legality of seating kids sideways but i would install folding forward facing seats to mount kids baby or bosters on as that is how kids seats are designed to work, facing forward but there will be members who know more:)

children that require a child seat [under 1.35m tall and under 12] will not be able to sit in the rear sideways seat of a defender csw if it is fitted with seatbelts - if there are no seatbelts the child can sit in the rear providing they are 3 or over - so those with a defender like me fitted with belts & lots of ankle biters , can either buy a new one , or buy one before seat belts were fitted

so I guess the answer is to install fold down, front facing seats that can take a booster / baby seat.

Any problems with anchoring 3 point seat belts onto these kind of seats, that people know of?

thanks again for any tips.

How do lad. You need to be talking to Marcus about this 'cos he knows everything there is to know about seats. Re-post in the 90/110 bit.
