Ahh, that's great news, mate. Congratulations to you and your Mrs. :) Home is where the heart is and that doesn't depend on it's size. You just need to make it happy. :D

The engine is running very well, although it's still using some oil. It's done 7k miles since it went in. The company I bought the recon turbo off swapped it for me. The transformation was unbelievable, with the landy now pulling really well. It's largely stopped smoking on start up, which was pretty bad when it was first rebuilt. I really need to keep a better record of how much oil I'm putting in, so I can get a volume/mile figure.
I am really pleased after your sterling and conscientious work to your engine, that you have got it running well.

They will always drink and burn a bit of oil, keep a note on its consumption and monitor if it appears excessive.

I'll try and be a bit more visible, but come March, it will be all hands to the pump for the first 6 months or so!!!

Believe it or not, even after 7 thousand miles, it stills seems to be getting better. The guy in my local LR inde said 'wait until it's got 10 thousand on it'. He might be right.
It'll get a tad busier in March, but it 's not that bad having two :)

Can take a lot more than 10K to run in an engine with modern oil.
