Has anyone fitted any seat covers onto the Freelander 1 - 3 or 5 door?
I'm considering replacing mine and have no desire to order something that either doesn't fit or is plain rubbish.
I've read lots of previous threads concerning this subject and cannot locate a definitive answer to my question.
I'm hoping someone has.
Andyfreelandy once asked someone who makes seat covers, if they could fabricate a set from a previous seat's design. That was turned down. At least Andy did try on our behalf.
So, has anyone managed to do it? If yes, give us all the gen.
My fingers are crossed.
I might consider buying a 2nd hand set of leather covers (must be good cond). They must be for the 3-door, where the front seats have tilt-fwd levers.

I'd love to crack this one too!!
Looking at Exmoor trim prices I am not sure that we would pay that much for a vehicle like the F1.
We need someone with an industrial sewing machine and then supply patterns. The F1 used a prefaclift and post facelift shape and obvs 3 or 5 door.
We could then make in denim, tweed, leather or anything wanted!!
I can provide goat skin if these buggers don't stop escaping!!

Have asked JC seat covers if they would make sets to replace existing 3 or 5 door 2000 - 2003 and 2004 to 2006 Freelanders. Also asked if real leather is a possibility. Asked for cost estimates.
Will post reply.

I too will be watching this thread with interest. Fit is everything, colourways important too. But price has limits with older cars that just don't have much value to start with.
Tough call sometimes.

Andyfreelandy is doing a great job in searching for potential producers. And from my own research I have viewed several seat covers being fitted on YouTube. And to quote another Landyzone member ( I don't have his handle), all seat covers are s***e. And what I saw... absolutely.

After some clarification about the fact that we want covers to fit stripped seats, JC have taken the thought away to consider for us, which is good news. I have offered the supply of pre and post facelift 3 and 5 door covers from worn out seats as patterns. I'm sure between us we could do that OK. I can do the pre and post 3 door as no one wants the seats on ebay!!
