Superb.

You don't fancy doing another wheel in that yak skin do you? ;):D
It’s a pice of pish. Plenty of vids showing the stitching on uyube. The centre bit is a donut of plywood with the self tappers through the boss. Oh and the bits on the spokes are bendy bits of ally just wrapped round.

Your series is like a palace of luxury compared to the rest of us haha :D

I like it, nice work. It must have taken ages. Years ago I used a 1940s treadle machine to make some vinyl seats for a Herald, went well unilt i got a bit carried away with the treadle and stiched through my thumb. Not only did it hurt but I had to back the machine by hand to get the needle out then remove the stitch! I think you need to sort the wiper parking next!

The parking was an issue. I sorted it and now they stop wherever they like.

Reminds me a freind who's car had been playing up when asked how it was going: "I've serviced it to a complete standstill"

"I've serviced it to a complete standstill"

That's exactly what the last 4 years feels like :(:rolleyes:

@Bobsticle the Mrs reckons that she can manage the needle and thread work if I supply the material ready to go on. If that doesn't work I am genuinely enquiry whether you might consider it?

I'd like another bash at one. I might even get it right this time.
I dont think I could do one off sizes only though. It was a bit of a faff getting it to fit perfect with the damn thing in front of me.

If you notice its in three pieces. The top two seams I managed to match up with the spokes without much problem. Now because you have to take into consideration the stretch its hard to get the bottom seam spot on. Mine was out slightly so I made several false seams either side of the real one to distract the eye. Only problem is I added the last seam on the wrong side and it made it worserer than worit wor. :(
As it was only for me and I was getting short of bothered, it went on like that.
