It is maybe the wrong Tunnel James, as the white 200 tdi ones fit much better in these pics, transmission cant be forward enough if youve had to cut a bit out to clear hi/lo housing

depends what your doing if fitting transmission in 200tdi position above are correct if fitting in 300 position the others are correct but transmission isnt in the correct placeIt is maybe the wrong Tunnel James, as the white 200 tdi ones fit much better in these pics,
LT77 Mated to Disco 300tdi To be honest aint got a clue what position they are in, Will look at my other posts to find out as you have helped me on loads of them.depends what your doing if fitting transmission in 200tdi position above are correct if fitting in 300 position the others are correct but transmission isnt in the correct place
if you fit a 300 and long bell housing box you either leave transmission in original position ie 200 tunnel floor plates etc and modify to fit engine , or fit engine right forward to rad and move transmission forward too ie engine now uses std 300 fittings and hoses etcLT77 Mated to Disco 300tdi To be honest aint got a clue what position they are in, Will look at my other posts to find out as you have helped me on loads of them.
O M G Now you have got me thinking the worst again. I'm sure there's a thread on here somewhere about which mounts ect I used , will find it.if you fit a 300 and long bell housing box you either leave transmission in original position ie 200 tunnel floor plates etc and modify to fit engine , or fit engine right forward to rad and move transmission forward too ie engine now uses std 300 fittings and hoses etc
Not sure if you will be able to tell by these pics James but might give you an Idea of which position it is.
They look to be near enough the same Mick. Thanks for photoLooking at my photos, I don’t have one that is the same angle as yours, but out transfer boxes appear to be in similar positions. I say similar, because it looks like they are within an inch or so of each other. That would say to me they have intended yours to be in the 200tdi position.
Look at the position of the seatbox to chassis mount, relative to the transfer box linkage housing in these photos.

yes so do I lm on the lookout for plate for seat box now, I’m sure one will come up somehowThat’s what I thought. I would think that going 200tdi parts will be the easiest to get a decent fit and finish.
as already said yours is in 200 position as youve used those mounts not the 300 cross member mount which pushes transmission forward, theres a choice of where you want engine to fit, as lr did or leaving transmission in 200 positionNot sure if you will be able to tell by these pics James but might give you an Idea of which position it is.
Thanks James so can I / should I use the white 200 tunnels??as already said yours is in 200 position as youve used those mounts not the 300 cross member mount which pushes transmission forward, theres a choice of where you want engine to fit, as lr did or leaving transmission in 200 position
yes if you want to leave transmission in 200 position and so leave props floor plates etc as was ,and leave alterations to hoses, exhaust pipe, fan, etc fitting the engine further rearward than would be as a std 300 tdi,so using std 300 hoses, etc etcThanks James so can I / should I use the white 200 tunnels??
Thanks James will leave it where it is Did you have to frighten me like that.lolyes if you want to leave transmission in 200 position and so leave props floor plates etc as was ,and leave alterations to hoses, exhaust pipe, fan, etc fitting the engine further rearward than would be as a std 300 tdi,so using std 300 hoses, etc etc
