transmission cant be forward enough if youve had to cut a bit out to clear hi/lo housing
It is maybe the wrong Tunnel James, as the white 200 tdi ones fit much better in these pics,

if you fit a 300 and long bell housing box you either leave transmission in original position ie 200 tunnel floor plates etc and modify to fit engine , or fit engine right forward to rad and move transmission forward too ie engine now uses std 300 fittings and hoses etc

O M G Now you have got me thinking the worst again. I'm sure there's a thread on here somewhere about which mounts ect I used , will find it.

Not sure if you will be able to tell by these pics James but might give you an Idea of which position it is.

Looking at my photos, I don’t have one that is the same angle as yours, but out transfer boxes appear to be in similar positions. I say similar, because it looks like they are within an inch or so of each other. That would say to me they have intended yours to be in the 200tdi position.

Look at the position of the seatbox to chassis mount, relative to the transfer box linkage housing in these photos.

They look to be near enough the same Mick. Thanks for photo

Your 200tdi tunnel fits because your gear-box is in the standard 200tdi position.
The plastic 300tdi tunnel does not fit around the levers because 300tdi transfer boxes are fitted 2 inches further forward and yours is not.
All you need to do is to modify the front of your seat box to match the 200tdi tunnel and you are sorted.
Everything is in the standard position for a 2.5 N/A - 2.5 TD- 200tdi, but not 300tdi, all you need is the correct combination pf parts.

Yes so
That’s what I thought. I would think that going 200tdi parts will be the easiest to get a decent fit and finish.
yes so do I lm on the lookout for plate for seat box now, I’m sure one will come up somehow

as already said yours is in 200 position as youve used those mounts not the 300 cross member mount which pushes transmission forward, theres a choice of where you want engine to fit, as lr did or leaving transmission in 200 position

Thanks James so can I / should I use the white 200 tunnels??

yes if you want to leave transmission in 200 position and so leave props floor plates etc as was ,and leave alterations to hoses, exhaust pipe, fan, etc fitting the engine further rearward than would be as a std 300 tdi,so using std 300 hoses, etc etc

Thanks James will leave it where it is Did you have to frighten me like that.lol:)

Cant afford another box so looking for a panel to swap over on my box, Please don't Laugh as I'm not much good at stuff like this but I made this tonight, if all else fails finding a spare bit I think this might just work. maybe should have made a little wider then it is. I used the old box to Mock Fit it.
All holes line up right, but the hardest bit will be fitting it in the right place on to my box after taking the 300 off. Theirs a big gap to fill in as well.

Why not flat sheet across the hole & make the bracket out the excess like genuine?
Simple cut out & fold. Do this after the tunnel is in so it lines up.

Finally got seat box put together, everything lines up just about perfect, so will go ahead and fit it.
Just a couple of questions before I start, First does the floor panel go Under the tunnels or other way round ? Second got this seal stuff with it, does this go on Every Join ??

Think I’ve finally got everything lined up ready to bolt in. Haven’t got Tub Mounts yet. Will I still be able to bolt seat box to tub? Or should I wait till Tub is bolted In Properly
