Hi there, Just in the throws of repairing and painting my seat box in my series 3 in preparation of some new seats from Exmoor trim. As I'm wanting to put a middle seat in, where there wasn't before, does anyone know where I can get a middle seat support from as I'm missing the RHS one?
They appear to be quite difficult to find in any reasonable condition or does anyone sell them new?
Thanks for any help on this.

Not sure about the middle seats coz I ain't got one. I think a lot of people take them out anyway as you tend to see them on eBay quite a bit.
Is it a part of the seat or a part of the box that's missing. Mine just has a tray between the front seats.

Hiya, thanks for the reply, it's the bracket part that the seat cousin directly attaches too. Can you still by them new? As they seem to be very rare. See stock photo attached.

Never seen a new one advertised so your best option may be a full second hand seat.
I can see how the back of the seat attaches and pivots on the bracket but how does the base sit without a frame like the passenger and driver seat.

Don't know, but from the pictures I've seen, I've never seen any middle seat frame only the brackets. Which makes my think that because its in a fixed position, unlike the outside two, the middle seat base must just fit wedged In between.

These are the brackets in my S3. The middle seat brackets are double brackets in that the center seat bracket is also part of the seat next to it. I may have a spare set but I wont know until I go round to my mums to check. The seat base is held in by the 2 little tabs at the front of the runner. Well secure lol!

Thanks for the reply, I think there must be two varieties of brackets, for outer seats that adjust and outer seats that are fixed. If the middle seat double bracket is fitted to the seat beside , I assume then that you must lose the ability to move and adjust the outer seat.
With single middle brackets I think the middle seat is still fixed but you can move/adjust the to outer seats.
Sounds complicated to try to describe.. Currently I have to outer seats that adjust, But I would be interested if you have a spare ones. I'm missing the middle LHS side bracket. Thank you.
Attached is a stock image pic variation which is similar to mine.

Yes that is correct. I am converting my drivers seat to moving but leaving the center and passenger seats fixed. I will have a check what I have spare when I get back to my mums, I've cluttered her drive up with land rover corpse lol. The brackets are a royal PITA as every last bolt has seized up.

Nuts and bolts.
After spending a while trying to loosen rusted nuts, I ended up taking the no nonsense approach, and drilled then out. As the heads weren't easy to grip.
I re use what I can a replace where necessary which is most of them. It's getting there just received some under seat tool box replacement parts from YRM metals. Just got to re spray the seat box and back now.
