As a cheapish job that I think will make quite a difference to my 90 I am going to try and recover the seat box and replace the torn textured vinyl stuff.

Has anyone done this with decent results? And if so what did you use?

I'm a bit reluctant to use carpet as I haven't sorted all of the leaks out yet.

Wright off road? Do 1 piece rubber sound proofing for the seatbox and for the floor available separately.
They don't absorb water but are a bit pricey.

How much is pricey? The ones LRI do on ebay do are £100+, hence me thinking I could do something myself. I have lots of angle aluminium from a failed racking project, so I was going to paint it and do the edges nicely with that.

That cheap polypropylene carpet stuff you used to be able to buy is rot proof I think, will look lush with Ali angle.
I've used normal carpet but I rebuilt my tratter proper like and it don't leak inside. Leaks oil though..:)

Amazingly mine is leak free from the engine side of things!

I want some kind of textured matting, I just can't find the right thing to search for on ebay. If there is enough left I want to do some floor mats too, as my original ones are looking a bit tired after 135k miles!

I used some stable matting when I made the draw system in the back, so I may well do that our local horse type supplier place has some outside that might do a good job

I've used the heavy stuff to line the back and footwells- it makes a great sound absorber.
