hi is it possible to remove the electric base from my interia front seats and replace it with the manual base its a p38 thanks

the base does unbolt, though Ive not tried it myself I think it should be a fairly easy job. Another unknown is how the electrics will be effected.

Yes, easy enough to remove. You will need a TX45 torx bit to remove the four runner bolts, they will be stiff if they have not been previously disturbed as they are Loctited.

Swap the bases over and just unplug the loom from the seat outstations, leave the cables intact and tie wrap them up out of the way.
Keep the old bases if you are not selling them, the motors etc. are a small fortune to buy. The memory function on the exterior mirrors probably will not work afterwards because you have removed the seat ecu.and memory pushbuttons which enable setting and storing of the seat & mirror positions.

ok thanks its just i have got hold of a cream interier and its electric and my old one was gray cloth .. my ecu has not got the H on so i would have to buy a new becm for the seats and have it unlocked or cloned so its just easyer to put manual base on as i now a p38 breaker who is very very cheap for parts thanks for your help i will go ahead and put the bases on thanks if you are in the midlands and need parts i will happily give you his number thanks again for all your help
