It's still good for insurance, most people are paying closer to a grand a yearThat's not bad. Mine is £410 or so after i added breakdown cover and additional legal cover.

Blimey is that what they cost to insure?Ibe had my disco 2 for 5 years and it's the dearest this year at£204 fully comp.I suppose it's because of all the scumbags trying to steal them? That's not bad. Mine is £410 or so after i added breakdown cover and additional legal cover.
It's because mine is parked outside my house and i stupidly put 6k annual mileage on it. They still gave me classic car discounts.Blimey is that what they cost to insure?Ibe had my disco 2 for 5 years and it's the dearest this year at£204 fully comp.I suppose it's because of all the scumbags trying to steal them?
. My insurance on the other car i'm on would be around £1200 for just me. However as i'm named on it instead of the policy holder, it's way way cheaper. It's still good for insurance, most people are paying closer to a grand a year
Insurance now seems to be just a way of getting money out of younger drivers, I'm currently paying about 750 a year on a v50 1.6tdiIt's because mine is parked outside my house and i stupidly put 6k annual mileage on it. They still gave me classic car discounts.
It was my fault, i expected it to actually ****ing move on occassion. Also I am only 23, i'm sure that has a bearing on it. When i renew it i'm going to stick it down to about 2k miles. I'm in agreement here though

Buddy of mine bought a transit van for bugger all, costs him 1400 a year to insure though. Him being a moron with an addiction to hitting things might have an impact on that too though.
It really does seem that way. Especially as i know a guy who insures his series 2a for £50 a year. Real kick in the dick.I

Bloody hell, I'm an old geezer 62 so have full NCB etc and clean licence so obviously get max discount but some of these companies take the pressure. My kids have gone through the same rip off but there didn't seem to be a way round it until they got past 25 and then it came down a lot.I think if you have a good driving record they should take that into account not just your age.If you drive like a tit when you're 24 you won't suddenly stop overnight and vise versa,I could be a **** of a driver but get discount just cos I'm old, doesn't make senseIt really does seem that way. I'd love it if I could work from home, then i'd be able to use just my landy and everything would be cheaper. Annoyingly i genuinely could work from home, just the motorway commute rules out using the 2a.
When the insurance is more than the car, that's a **** take. My ex had a punto that was around £400, insurance over a grand.
Couldn't agree more, i've never, been stopped, clean license, no accidents, no bumps nothing. She was caught speeding, crashed, would hit the curb every time she turned, blew a red light outside a military base whilst still drunk from the night before and drove with a flat for a few miles. People like that are the reason that us under 25s get fisted for insurance. I can totally understand, statistically we are a greater risk but it really should be a case by case basis. If you drive like a tit when you're 24 you won't suddenly stop overnight and vise versa,I could be a **** of a driver but get discount just cos I'm old, doesn't make sense
Excellent. However doesn't she have a SORN? What's with the road tax prices? So according to an online car check the old girl hasn't been scrapped!!
Yes it's currently classes as SORN and I'm not 100% sure as it should be free with it being 35 years old. On another plus she's also not been shipped over seasExcellent. However doesn't she have a SORN? What's with the road tax prices?
