Hallo
At 4 pm a group of chaps will help put the roof back on my 2A 109 SW. How do you get the Bluddy seals in place?

A very open question and my reply is very late, hopefully nobody lost fingers if you’ve got it on. For the purpose of a reply I’ll assume that it’s a hard top. There’s two rubber seals, one along the front windscreen and the other around the rear tub. If you don’t have the latter don’t put it on. It’s not expensive but it’s essential otherwise it’s leak like a sieve. Hopefully you’ve got all the corner and side bolts? Again if you don’t you need to order all these party. It’ll take thre people to mount the hard top but you have to have all the fixings. If you don’t have these, can be ordered online. You need a workshop manual.

HI
THE work shop manual is pretty unhelpful- the seals from paddocks are almost useless- and need a redesign. the lips are not big enough to seat and the rest of them is too small to fill the gap.
Much hammering with a blunt bolster. I've walked away for a while. Do you know anyone who might have a steering wheel for a 2A?

Are you talking about the seal between the sides and the tub or sides and roof?

every series i see has the seal listed as the bottom seal at the top of the sides- why are they listed the other way round by everyone?

I had same issue with modern replacement seals bought some original 2nd hand and they fitted great totally different shape.

Basically the seal stands upand is held in place by the metal lip of the van side or truck cab, I used tiger seal to help with this. The seal does not lay flat which was the mistake I first made
