Hi guys
Hope your staying safe and well.

Does anyone know the sealant used for adhering the water shredders inside the doors of the defender and other land rover vehicles.

Its like a rubber mastic, that isn't too strong but remains flexible. Its quite gooey stuff, but handy that it can be separated. I want to use similar for other areas of the land rover. And can't find any that is a really strong adhesive like tiger seal, sika 221 etc.

Any one know? Thanks

Dumdum sealant?

That would be my preference too. Sadly, I don't know where to get it now.

Do you have a source?
I have a lump of it that lives in the Land Rover, so I am still on old stock, I am told, Eastwood Flexible strip is a close second and would be my product of choice when I run out of DumDum

I wonder if some shop somewhere has a load of Dum Dum in the back of a store room without knowing what a goldmine they're sitting on.

Dum Dum sealant - the one in the tin - hasn't been available for years. Used to sell a few tins in the 70s when I worked in a motor factor.
This site says not made since 2011: https://www.morrisminorspares.com/b...-5kg-tin-no-longer-available-use-t18n-p828706
They suggest a 3M product (Google for 3M 08568) :https://www.morrisminorspares.com/b...trips-grey-dum-dum-sealer-alternative-p828630

I wouldn't be inclined to use it for attaching weather sheets though.
Me neither. I don't have anything with weather sheets anyway.
I would use it for sound deadening and electrical insulation between panels, though.
