I see few guys here are pop riviting the rear boot floors and seal it with sealant what kind of sealant ?? my side boot floor is rusted hardly any decent metal left to weld maybe I could cut right back and then get alunminium checker sheet and pop rivet the sheet in etc ?

brushable seam sealer similar to what lr uses better than silicone for that kind of job ,i use brown bros for it not all factors have it

Mate of ours used roof and gutter sealant.

Seemed to work fine, stays flexi etc...

I would use a polyurethane (PU) sealant as its also an adhesive.

Heres one example

BODY KIT PU SEALER PANEL CAR ADHESIVE SPOILER GLUE | eBay

I used to be a coachbuilder and that stuff holds many types of vehicles together.

Its toxic so dont lick your finger to smooth it and dont get it on your skin or it almost has to wear off

As above,PU sealant like sikaflex or one of its clones, gun fed through a wide nozzle and spread while wet with spatula and brush....at least thats what I do in lieu of brushable seam sealant, which if you dont have cause to use often is quite an expense for a tin that you dont use much of....even though it IS the correct thing to use !

I used PU sealant, sticks like **** to a blanket

yes it really does make a mess of your hands too!
