Hi, I was cleaning the beast today and noticed for the first time this little gap! Water leaks in during rain/screenwash/any other excuse. What would be a good way to fill this crack with a semi permanent sealant. Bearing in mind I'll need a full new windscreen soonish due to a mini chip or two.
I'm not replacing immediately as I'm looking at getting a full heated windscreen which is mega money.

Should it not have a cover thingy there?

Any sikaflex type sealer should do ... smaller cracks can be done with 'Seek and Seal' ...

I honestly don't know what should be there!
Great, cheers. I'll have a look around and see what I can find/beg/borrow or steal

Thanks! Cheap is the buzz word I like. Until I put good money into a heated screen of course

Dont buy cheap sealant. Use a butyl based gutter sealant if you want something non setting but just usesikaflex or tiger seal, forget cheap water based silicones.

who did your windscreen replacement.

aint the seals a single piece ..... i know the one i just got is .....

Good quality black sealant from builders supply, It was also recommended to wipe over age/ozone cracked glass seals like safari windows etc. use rubber gloves/marigolds for wiped finish.
