Following a recent trip to the dump to get rid of some building waste, the boot compartment has picked up a couple of scratches in the plastic sidewalls.

Are there any tips or products that would remove these scratches? They are not deep, but are not just surface scuffs either.

What colour side walls if black use shoe scuff, then some black shoe wax and buff them up.

Some plastic can be treated with a light application from a hot air gun but be careful and test in an inconspicuos area, as some plastics could be absolutely wrecked by this method. Acetone (commonly available in nail polish remover) on a cotton bud could be used on some types of plastic. This will soften and melt the plastic, so extreme care needs to be taken with this method, as well as testing in an inconspicuous area, again. Possibly even more damaging than the hot air method. I'd say it was better to live with the scratches or use Arctic2's method of a colour-matched wax polish. Crayons can be good for this.
