Had some annual leave with the misses so took the landy on a bit of a tour of the west coast, Skye and a little Island called Raasay. Set off from my home in Inverness, headed to the coast near Mallaig, then ferry across to Skye, then on to Raasay and then home.

The weather was glorious!

Isn't that fantastic? Beautiful countryside. I can't wait to have another drive round Scotland myself.

When the weather's good the west coast and highlands are one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Sadly not! That has to be my favourite road sign. It's on 'Callum's road' on Raasay - a road some dude build with nothing more than a wheel barrow and a road building manual. It took him 15yrs and he died 2 weeks after he finished it. Bloody good effort if you ask me.

Lovely country, thanks for sharing them. Will be up Fortrose area in July and looking forward to it. Normally just get to Dundee when we visit our daughter.

I seen a programme about him a while ago. Some man he was by all accounts.

Going to Glenelg just across from Skye south of Kyle of Lochalsh to do some hills around Glen Shiel. Wifey wouldn't allow the landy and it would take it about a day to get there. Camping out and the weather forecast looks OK. Nice photos.

There's a fantastic vintage ferry, only one of its kind in Scotland, that goes from Glenelg to Skye. Only takes 6 cars!

Not really. Mid to low range cannon DSL. Got a few nice lens tho, they make the world of difference.
That sounds fancy to me! :) Thought the water looked like a lens had been used. Great shots!
